[Vol. 1 Issue #196]
Here is a short highlight of some things that popped up quickly today. Some of us attended the Axios What's Next Summit, and the write-up begins tonight. We are also running into AI Everywhere. Finding stories that aren't all about AI is getting harder and harder. Today more than half of the highlights are artificial.

ChatGODIN
As a big fan of Seth Godin, he launched a Chat Bot that uses over 5 million words from Seth's blog. Want to know what Seth's take is on anything, ask his bot. We have gone up to test this several times, and it is over capacity. We plan to keep hitting it over the next few weeks.
Training AI
One of the questions we’ve been asking is how can we train an AI on a specific writer's style? Can you "feed" a chatbot enough of your own work to know how to take in new inputs, but the output will be in a specific voice. Godin's new experimental project gave us the answer. Or provide us with part of the answer; Godin's project uses Chat Thing, and based on what we've read on the Chat Thing website, you can have it pulled from your data set. Based on the limited time we've spent with it, a Knowledge Base is what the output would be suitable for.
What’s Next
A year ago, most of us were figuring out what AI would suit us. Three months into 2023, we are using Midjourney for images, ChatGPT for everything else, and we can now build our own Chat Bot AI. We are still determining what's next, but it will be here sooner than you think.

Beginning of the End
A new Substacker Shaun Usher asked ChatGPT for the best way to end a letter. 500 ways to close a letter. 50 responses for each of the categories he gave the bot. We like the "HOT" category the best and used one for our subhead!

Debut
UPROXX and the IndieCAST podcast are favorites around here. Steven Hyden is a writer, podcaster, and critic and writes up his favorite debut albums. He goes through 100 debut albums; that's a lot of critiques. Joy Division cracked his top ten, REM made the top thirty, and the Beastie Boys just behind that.
Closing thought
If you start as a band fighting and scraping to get music out and write about the fight from inside the ring, what happens when you become a successful rock star? It might contribute to a debut album full of heart and more challenging to get after a decade on the top.
