“The ordinary acts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest.” - St. Thomas More
A quick rewrite to finish the week. The Guardian did a piece on “Awe” and one of the quotes they reported on was from an author named William Mitchell, it’s called Make The Ordinary Come Alive.
Make The Ordinary Come Alive
Do not ask your children
to strive for extraordinary lives.
Such striving may seem admirable,
but it is a way of foolishness.
Help them instead to find the wonder
and the marvel of an ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting
tomatoes, apples and pears
Show them how to cry
when pets and people die.
Show them the infinite pleasure
in the touch of a hand
And make the ordinary come alive for them.
The extraordinary will take care of itself

Thoughts on Piece
A simple piece with a simple message, a good note to end a week.
Thoughts on Practice
Published 7 days this week, I need to get better at the framework and the writing pieces, job one is still to write and publish every day.
Thoughts For You
Strive to be kind more than cruel
Wear your heart on your sleeve
Didn’t figure it out today?
Try again tomorrow
Be Good,
Johnny
